Some Of My Hosta Collection
For slide presentation click play then full screen in the bottom right hand corner.
As a diversion from Pelargoniums I enjoy growing Hostas. Here are some from my
large collection which are all grown in pots. When you see Carlton in front of a plant it is one of my sports or seedlings.
Hostas are divided into five sizes.
Plant Size. Size of Leaf
Miniature smaller than 6 square inches
Small 6 to 30 square inches
Medium 30 to 64 square inches
Large 64 to 120 square inches
Giant
More than 120 square inches
Feel free to vote for the ones you like by putting the cursor on the photo then click on like at the bottom.

You're my no. 1 inspiration in the Pelargonium growing/showing world. Appreciation abundance, plus some! Your site has taught me more in a short period of time, than any other source or outlet.
Wow I love your plants ,beautiful ,I wish I could grow them that well in Australia
Hi Jacqueline, I do not cover the box as the cuttings will rot off in too much humidity. I only water them once they are nearly dry as not to overwater. Ken
Hi Ken. Thanks for the info. I would like to know, do you cover the box? How often do you ‘bottom’ water the cuttings?

Ken two things I would like to know is how do you make your own garlic spay to deter slugs and is there any hostas that will stand full sun .?

Hi Ken
Obviously, you have built up your Hosta collection. It is interesting to see so many types of Hosta with differing leave sizes and patterns. Devon Green is my favourite.
