Sorry but I do not know of any modern red Zonal that will grow that tall. Maybe someone in your area of California still grows the older more vigorous Pelargoniums.

Am renovating the landscape for 1960's period California architecture. Typical planting of the times calls for very large - 4'-5' - red Pelargonium. Is there a variety/cultivar that will produce this look for me?

I have never seen pelargoniums grown so well and the little book is quite delightful !

Hi Jacqueline, I do not cover the box as the cuttings will rot off in too much humidity. I only water them once they are nearly dry as not to overwater. Ken
